Mr J learned Mandarin!
While in Taiwan over spring break I picked up a book about the cultural history of Taiwan. For some reason the students had troubles understanding my Mandarin reading and had to help me out with the words. The students learned lots and we had a great time laughing at my language skills. Good thing we have many that can read Mandarin and helped Mr J out!!
Author Visit
We were very lucky to have the author and illustrator from Free Spirit Books visit our primary students. Amy and Dawn shared their story, "The Rainbow Garden is my Friend". We had great discussion about over coming fears and how to create a book. If you are interested in learning more about how to make a picture book you can call Thompson Community Centre and take their program. Amy and Dawn run the program at Thompson.
Connect Ed
Biking season is here and so is "Fun on Two Wheels" for our spring Connect Ed program!! Students had a great time learning biking and safety skills!!
